Multistring

Here is some additional information about my guitars.

7-String guitar Russian Guitar

The 7-string guitar, like the one i play – made by Daniel Zucali, is an acoustic guitar developed in Russia towards the end of the 18th century. It shares most of its characteristics with the 6-string guitar, such as appearance and construction. It is known in Russia as a Semistrunnaya Gitara or as a Semistrunka, which strictly speaking simply means "seven-string". These guitars are usually tuned to an open G chord – I use several other open tunings myself, including the G minor tuning used by Sergey Nikitin, as it fully underscores the guitar's potential tonal spectrum.

10-String guitar Decacorde

The 10-string guitar, like the one i play – made by Daniel Zucali, is a rare variant of the classical guitar. The oldest 10-string guitars were actually instruments that resembled a cross between a lute and a guitar. In 1963, the Spanish guitarist Narciso Yepes, together with the luthier José Ramirez, created the modern version of this instrument. The idea of the two was to create an updated version of the 10-string guitar. It looks like a standard modern guitar, but with a wider fretboard and full-length frets.

What is the charm of this guitar and what makes it so special? The power of this guitar lies in its resonance qualities, which both strengthen the guitar's tone and lengthen the sounding time of each note. The additional bass strings also give the instrument a slightly darker timbre than that of the 6-string guitar. As a composer, I am inspired by this form of the modern guitar, as it opens up new expressive horizons with its rich sound.

The tuning of the 10-string guitar varies depending on the needs of the music being played.

20-String guitar Harpguitar

The 20-string guitar, like the one I play – made by Lukas Brunner, is a variant of a six-string guitar with additional six free-vibrating bass strings and eight free-vibrating treble strings, which can also be integrated into the playing. This type of guitar was developed and played as early as the beginning of the 19th century. The basses give the instrument an unbelievably full sound, even if you only let them resonate as sympathetic strings. The treble strings expand the tonal range of the guitar upwards and offer completely new playing possibilities.

I use a specially developed tuning for this instrument and my music.
